Will George Anthony Leave Hospital Today?
DAYTONA BEACH – The father of Casey Anthony is expected to be released from the hospital sometime Monday after spending the weekend on suicide watch.
George Anthony was being held for psychiatric observation under the Baker Act.
Anthony was reported missing Thursday evening, and was found Friday morning at a Daytona Beach motel room.
Police said Anthony had sent text messages to family members saying he did not want to live, and that he wanted to be with his murdered 2-year-old granddaughter, Caylee.
Anthony had taken several sleeping pills, and an unfinished suicide letter was found in his vehicle.
George Anthony’s expected release comes as the attorney for his daughter, Casey, filed a motion seeking more information about his client’s ex-boyfriend after he posted a picture on his MySpace page with the caption “win her over with chloroform.”
Ricardo Morales told detectives he posted the picture on around the beginning of 2008, before someone searched for “how to make chloroform” on Anthony’s home computer.
